Firefighters from four area fire departments battled frigid temperatures in working to put out a fire Thursday night in the Warehouse Point section of East Windsor.
The fire was in a multi-family home at 67 North Main St., just north of the Maine Fish Market and Restaurant and just south of the Enfield town line.
Fire personnel from Warehouse Point, Broad Brook, Enfield and Windsor Locks worked to put out the blaze, which was reported shortly before 9 p.m. The fire was knocked down by 10 p.m.
From the ground, the second floor of the building appeared to have sustained the most damage.
Property records show the 2,400+ square foot structure was built in 1850.
Police blocked off the intersection of Bridge Street and North Main Street, re-routing traffic through the Bank of America parking lot across from the Geissler's Plaza.
Warehouse Point Fire Chief James Barton was working at the scene and not immediately available for comment.
