Kaitlyn Peck scored 14 points and Sheena Ware added 13, leading Fermi to a 41-29 victory over Hartford Public in CCC East girls basketball action Tuesday night in Enfield.
The Falcons jumped to a 20-11 halftime lead and never looked back in defeating the Owls for the second time this season.
"It may not reflect it in the standings, but these kids have been working extremely hard on improving," Fermi coach Sean Sweeney said. "Tonight we took advantage of an opportunity and finished off the game."
Nicole St. Amand had seven points for the winners. Hartford's Maryann Nguyen led all scorers with 20 points.
Fermi (2-14) hosts Bloomfield Friday at 7 p.m. Hartford Public (0-16) entertains Rocky Hill the same day at 4 p.m.
