Super Bowl ads used to be kept secret until the big day, but now advertisers are teasing the ads online or even showing them outright beforehand. It's like Black Friday sneaking its way into Thanksgiving.
In addition to that trend, some of this year's ads require viewers to vote during the game to decide the ending. Five finalists are also competing to win a spot on Game Day. One was created by a group that includes former Simsbury High School students.
With Super Bowl advertising going for about $3.8 million for a 30-second spot, the commercials have almost become as important as the game itself. To some viewers, the ads are the only reason to watch.
Will you watch the Super Bowl on Sunday for the game or for the commercials?
