Your Take: Should The Defense Of Marriage Act Be Repealed?

Gay couples have had the right to marry in Connecticut since 2008, but they do not enjoy that right very many places outside state lines. This week, the United States Supreme Court hears two landmark gay marriage cases that could change the landscape across the nation.

On Tuesday the court hears arguments for and against California's ban on gay marriage. On Wednesday it takes up the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which denies federal recognition to legally married same-sex couples in Connecticut and eight other states.

On Monday, there was a gay rights rally in Hartford.
