Wednesday's snowfall has prompted Enfield officials to issue a parking ban for a 24-hour period.
The parking ban went into effect at 6 p.m. Wednesday, and is effective through the same time Thursday.
According to the town's web site, "When the Town of Enfield issues a parking ban, there will be no on-street parking. Any cars found parked on the streets during the parking ban will be towed."
The National Weather Service forecast for Enfield calls for overnight rain, snow, and sleet before 4 a.m., then freezing rain between 4 and 5 a.m., then rain or freezing rain after 5 a.m. Thursday will be rainy, with rain and snow likely after 3 p.m.
