A South Windsor man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted two police officers - giving one a bloody nose - during an incident in December, police said.

Michael Dillman, 27, of 325 Oakland Road, was charged on Jan. 12 with two counts of assault on a police officer, interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct.

Dillman's charge stems from an incident at his home when police responded to a domestic dispute in December, according to police.

During that incident, Dillman allegedly fled into the woods, police said. A canine team from Enfield reponded to assist in the search for Dillman, police said.

When officers located him, Dillman allegedly tackled a female officer and began punching her. The Enfield officer then deployed his canine partner and began pulling Dillman off the female officer, police said.

Dillman then head-butted the Enfield officer, resulting in that officer getting a bloody nose, police said.

Dillman was eventually subdued with a Taser and was sent to a local hospital for treatment and mental health assessment, according to police. Officers later obtained an arrest warrant for him

Dillman was later released on a $30,000 surety bond, and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 24.
