The new fixed route bus service through the town of Enfield made its debut Monday morning.
Dubbed Magic Carpet Rides, the bus service is provided through a $3.2 million grant from federal and state government.
The circular clockwise route runs from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. and travels from North Main Street, east on Elm Street to Hazardville Center, then west on Hazard Avenue and north on Pearl Street. The counter-clockwise route runs during rush hours from 7-10 a.m. and from 4-7 p.m.
Free rides are being offered through the month of January, according to an email from Director of Social Services Pam Brown.
