In the wake of Wednesday's school closing, Enfield Patch asked its readers to share their favorite memories of snow days.
Some of the responses were:
- Michelle Forbes - "Sledding at EHS!"
- Kevin Crane - "Pond hockey at Felician Sisters. Toboggan wars on Enfield High School hill. Building enormous snow forts. Backyard football."
- Connie Johnson - "I remember the radio to announce no school. Being from Tenn. we never had that, moving up here wow. Then hearing no school would go back to bed. Then we would go sledding in the back yard."
- Christine Munnett Tougas - "Sledding across from the dump on Town Farm Road! Awesome!"
- Lisa Kerry - "Building a snow fort then having a snowball fight with the Fitch's from across the street!"
- Jodi Moran Canwell - "When I was younger I loved building igloos at the end of our driveway with my brother, sister and friends. When we were done we had huge snowball fights. This was 30 plus years ago."
- Kathleen Arbacheski Kondracki - "Snow being so deep we made underground tunnels."
We still welcome more of your favorite winter memories, including photos. Tell us in the comments section below, and feel free to add your pictures.
