Flights at Bradley International Airport resumed on Tuesday after they were all canceled on Monday because of Hurricane Sandy.

The first commercial arrival was a Delta flight from Atlanta, airport spokesman John Wallace said. The first flight out was also from Delta, he said.

“We have a limited schedule today,” Wallace said.

Commercial flight operations were halted by 1 p.m. Monday.

Because of several factors such as operations at other airports and the weather, it will probably take about two days for the flight schedules to be back at normal levels, Wallace said.

The airport remained open during the hurricane and suffered no major damage. There were no emergency flights or diversions during that time, Wallace said.

Passengers have been asked to check the airlines’ websites for flight information because their call centers have been inundated, Wallace said. Passengers shouldn’t call the airport for flight information.
